Creamy Tomato & Garlic Spaghetti with Croutons
So, you're telling me you haven't thrown croutons into your spaghetti yet? Come on, folks! It's like upgrading from economy to first-class without the extra cost. Imagine this: every forkful brings you the joy of crunchy, garlic-infused croutons mingling with creamy, saucy pasta. It's like the universe decided to gift us a cheat code for happiness. And let's be real, garlic bread is the unsung hero of the pasta world. Who in their right mind would say no to that?
Here's the lowdown on creating this concoction, also known as Creamy Tomato & Garlic Spaghetti with Croutons. You'll need the basics: spaghetti, a can of those lusciously ripe plum tomatoes, and garlic croutons. If you haven't heard of Kinglers Bakery, well, now you have. They're the crouton MVPs. Grab some garlic (because one form of garlic is never enough), heavy cream, Parmesan and Feta cheese (because why settle for one cheesy goodness when you can have two?), and the usual suspects like dried oregano, basil, garlic powder, butter, salt & pepper, and for those who dare, red pepper flakes.
Now, let’s talk about how I magically transformed these ingredients into a dish that'll have you patting yourself on the back. First off, boil your spaghetti like you're a pro, which means remembering to salt the water because we're not barbarians. While that’s doing its thing, grab a pan, throw in some butter, garlic, and those plum tomatoes. And yes, you get to play with your food by squishing those tomatoes - either get handsy or use a utensil if you're feeling civilized. Next, pour in the heavy cream and let the cheese duo join the party. Spice it up with garlic powder, oregano, basil, and if you’re feeling spicy, a dash of red pepper flakes. Don’t forget to season with a bit of salt and pepper. Mix it well, add the pasta with a smidge of pasta water, and voila! You’ve got yourself a dish that’ll make you wonder why you ever ate spaghetti without croutons. Oh, and sprinkle a bit more Parmesan on top because, let's be honest, there's no such thing as too much cheese. Welcome to your new addiction, my friends.
