Sweet Cranberry Brie Crescent Wreath

Alright, gather 'round food enthusiasts and culinary adventurers who like to live on the edge of the baking sheet! Today, I'm going to let you in on a secret weapon in the holiday appetizer arsenal. It's called the Sweet Cranberry Brie Crescent Wreath. Sounds fancy, doesn’t it? Well, it's so easy, you'll laugh in the face of any cooking challenge that dares cross your path again. And yes, it tastes as heavenly as it sounds – like, if taste buds could sing, they'd belt out Mariah Carey's Christmas album kind of heavenly.

First off, let's talk ingredients. You'll need crescent rolls (the kind that magically transform in the oven), cranberries (because what's a holiday recipe without them), brie (the cheese that could start world peace), honey (nature's apology for bees being so stingy), brown sugar (because regular sugar just isn't hipster enough), and orange juice (for that zesty kick). Now, before you start worrying about your cooking skills, let me tell you, if you can make toast without burning down the house, you can make this.

Here's how it goes down. You start with the sweet cranberry sauce. Throw about a cup of cranberries into a pot, add a few generous blobs of honey, a sprinkle of brown sugar, and a few splashes of orange juice like you're a wizard concocting a potion. Let it all simmer until the cranberries are soft and you've essentially created jam. But not just any jam, a jam that will make you question every life choice that led you to eat store-bought jam. Next up, unroll those crescent rolls with the grace of a ballerina, lay them out like you're forming a secret society emblem, and spoon your magical cranberry concoction along the wide end. Then, slice up that brie and lay it on top like it's the crown jewel. Fold the dough over, tuck it in like you're putting it to bed, and bake until golden brown. Finally, garnish with some herbs and cranberries to make it look like you're a finalist on some cooking show.

So there you have it, a Sweet Cranberry Brie Crescent Wreath that's so good, you might just eat half of it before it even makes it to the table. Consider making a couple if you're expecting a crowd, or just make one and hide in the closet to eat it by yourself – I won't judge. Happy cooking!

Sweet Cranberry Brie Crescent Wreath

Now this is the perfect appetizer for the holidays! It’s easy, takes no more than 20 minutes and TASTY as hell! …also, let’s not ignore the fact that it’s one of the most beautiful appetizers. I hope you all give this a try. I just ate half of it myself, so maybe make a couple of these for a crowd.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. - Make the sweet cranberry sauce first. Heat a small pot with about 1 cup cranberries, a few tablespoons of honey and a tablespoon of brown sugar. Pour in a couple splashes of orange juice and let it simmer and stir until the cranberries get soft and thicken into a jam. Taste it and make sure it’s where you want it on the sweet side. Add more honey or brown sugar to your liking.
  2. - Open the tube of crescent rolls and lay each triangle down on a parchment lined pan. Make them into a circle so the wide end is overlapping each other slightly (see picture for reference).
  3. - Add the cranberry jam around the wide end of the triangles in a circle (again, refer to pic if I’m explaining this poorly😂).
  4. - Add slices of Brie on top the jam.
  5. - Fold the pointing end of the triangles over the Brie and tuck under the wide end.
  6. - Bake at 400 for 20 min, or until crescent rolls are browned.
  7. - Garnish with rosemary, thyme and cranberries. Enjoy!!
