The Saucy Sicilian Silencer
Why "Silencer," you ask? Because it's so mind-blowingly delicious, it'll render you incapable of speech. And not just any kind of speechless. I'm talking about the kind of speechless where you've forgotten every word in the English language except "yum."
If your bread doesn't have garlic, I'm not sure what you're doing with your life. Okay, okay, I'm half-joking. But seriously, if you want to elevate your sandwich game to the level of the gods, you're gonna want to get yourself some crispy garlic artisan bread. It's the foundation of this beast. Now, pile on an obscene amount of Calabrese salami because, let's be honest, there's no such thing as too much when it comes to salami. Then, you're gonna want to add thick slices of fresh mozzarella—none of that pre-shredded stuff. We're going for quality here, people.
Once you've got your cheese in place, throw that bad boy back in the oven until it's meltier than your heart watching puppy videos. Then, it's time for the pièce de résistance: roasted red peppers, fresh romaine lettuce, and a generous drizzle of balsamic glaze. Oh, and don't you dare forget to sprinkle a little garlic powder, salt, and pepper on top. Finish it off with a drizzle of garlic olive oil because, in this house, we go big or go home. Press that other slice of bread on top, give it a good ol' press (but not too hard, we're making a sandwich, not a panini), and voilà! You've just created the Saucy Sicilian Silencer.
So, what are you waiting for? Dive in and enjoy the silence that only a sandwich this good can bring. And when you're finally able to speak again, the first words out of your mouth better be "thank you." You're welcome. 🤌🏻

Instructions
- Cut the slice of bread, drizzle with olive oil (preferably garlic olive oil) and add a pinch of salt to both sides before putting in the oven and broil on high for about 4-5 min (or until crisp to your preference). Remove from oven.
- Add slices of mozz to the bottle half and put back into the oven (broil on low for a few) until melted. Remove again.
- Add a decent amount of salami to the top of the cheese. Then add the green romaine, then top that with as much roasted red pepper as you want. Finally, drizzle that baby with a good layer of balsamic glaze (don’t forget this part!). Sprinkle a little garlic powder and salt & pepper on top. Press the other layer of bread on top and press down semi-firmly.
